The Cleveland NO-FI Underground is proud to present..

NO CLEVELAND

[NOTE: The following website is now a part of history - the monthly NO CLEVELAND shows at Pat's In The Flats have come to an end, as has one of the bands involved in the shows. A review of what was accomplished there is forthcoming.
However, the NO CLEVELAND bands that continue to exist are still performing weekly at Lakewood's CAPSULE bar's Monday night Open Mike Night, performing in various combinations, treating the general public to music and noise not normally associated with stereotypically acoustic & folkie open mike nights. Please join us every Monday night at 13376 Madison Ave., Lakewood, OH. Call 216-CAPSULE for more info.]

[ALSO: There will be a Tsunami benefit show featuring NO CLEVELAND bands DEAD PEASANT INSURANCE and IRON OXIDE along with another interesting Cleveland band, JERK, on the night of Saturday, February 19th, 2005, at The Tower of Treason, 8610 Madison Ave. $5 donation.]

[SCRATCH THAT: Due to the sudden closure of The Tower of Treason as of 11 Feb 2005, the abovementioned DPI/IO/J show on 19 February 2005 is now CANCELLED. If anyone becomes aware of any new noise-friendly DIY spots in the Greater Cleveland Area, please Contact Us at IRON-OXIDE@IRON-OXIDE.COM.]

[IN THE MEANTIME: For further NOise and information please visit: Coffee-Hut Records =|= Iron Oxide =|= Dead Peasant Insurance =|= Thursday Club]

A monthly series of unfortunate necessity featuring the loudest and finest practitioners and manufacturers of Cleveland's only serious threat to a dead scene.

TO WIT:

DEAD PEASANT INSURANCE

Sometimes two guitars, sometimes drums, sometimes a bass, always smashing back the expectations and the deadset-in-their-ways.

IRON OXIDE

(formerlyBLACK CABBAGE)

Those who liked them before will probably hate them now. Those who hated them before will probably hate them even more now. They haven't stopped laughing, but what seemed funny six months ago is now just terrifying.

THURSDAY CLUB

Never have so many patch cords and effects boxes done so much damage to so many ears in so little time.

I SING THE BODY ELECTRIC

Two guys channelling as much heavy sound as a band 3 times their size. If Walt Whitman were alive today, he'd be turning in his grave.

WHERE IS NO CLEVELAND?

It is at Pat's in the Flats, located at the bottom of the hill that Literary Road takes as it descends out of Tremont's hipsterdom down into the smelly, dirty, crunky, and beautiful INDUSTRIAL Flats of Cleveland, on the corner of W.3rd and Literary, next to the oil refinery storage facility and the old train roundhouse. NOT THE FUCKING PARTY ENTERTAINMENT FLATS YOU IDIOT.

WHEN IS NO CLEVELAND?

The SECOND THURSDAY of EACH MONTH, soon to be known as BLACK THURSDAY, at 9PM. The following evenings have thus far been compromised:
THURSDAY, DE CEMBER NEIN, 2004
THURSDAY, JANOUARY 13, 2005

HOW MUCH IS NO CLEVELAND?

$4.00. But face it, missing it will cost you much more.
